Overcoming Overuse
There are hundreds of books about the advantages and disadvantages of various renewable energy technologies and methods for energy conservation. Right now what we need now is not another book about technology. No, global energy transformation is a vast management challenge. How are we going to manage the dramatic changes that we need to make to our lives and to society at large? What are the qualities that we need to demand from out leaders, and how can we communicate large amounts of information about the transformation to all the people who need to participate?
“Overcoming Overuse: Energy Transformation for a World Gone Fad” is about the challenges of leadership and communication that we are facing. It is about the need for optimism and it makes it obvious that we need to look long and hard for viable solutions. Some are there already for us to see, but many need to be created in the transformation program. Above all, we need to face the challenges and rise to them. Who are the leaders who will stand up to these challenges and blaze the trail forward?
