This video will answer the question: “What is the meaning of sustainability?” and also what is the importance of sustainability and in particular, global sustainability.

Sustainability means that we have a society that makes it possible for present generations to satisfy our needs without harming the opportunities of future generation to satisfy theirs.

And there are three pillars to sustainability.

The first one is ecological sustainability: the ability of our society to harmonize with nature and our environment and not pollute or destroy the environment in various ways.

The second is economical sustainability: our ability to build economical systems that can satisfy the needs of all the citizens on this planet.

And then there is social sustainability: our ability to build a society that makes room for everyone and makes it possible for everyone to grow and achieve their goals.

This is a big challenge and there are many different types of activities that will be necessary in order to develop a sustainable society.

For example, we need to develop and implement new technologies and systems on a large scale.

For example, systems of E-Mobility, electromobility, the use of electric vehicles instead of petrol and diesel vehicles.

And it is a really big challenge doing that.

But sustainability also means that we need to do other things, such as implementing an increasing share of local food production so that we don't need to send food and transport food and other products across the world to the degree that we are doing today.

We also need to implement a circular economy in which we use resources, but we also reuse them in a number of different cycles so that we can make use of our resources in the best possible way without depleting the sources that we are using.

And we also need other types of systems that make it possible for us to share resources, share cars and other things that we can instead of owning them ourselves, as we do at present.

So a sustainable society is a society where we change our resource use in a number of different ways on a very large scale, so that all people on the planet can use resources in a sustainable way.

In a way that makes the resources last longer and makes it possible for future generations to enjoy the same level of affluence and the same quality of life as we do today.

I've explored this topic of large scale transformation to sustainability for 20 years and I will share my experiences and knowledge with you.
